QuickPrint 5.1

Welcome to QuickPrint 5.1. QuickPrint 5.1 extends and enhances the functionality of QuickPrint 5. It is designed for both Mac OS X and Windows XP, with plug-ins for QuarkXpress (versions 6 and 7) and Adobe InDesign (CS, CS2 and CS3).

What's new?

QuickPrint 5.1 has several new features and enhancements.

Functionality changes

- InDesign CS3 plug-in (Note: Selection Based Exports are not available with CS3).

- Optional direct export to PDF from InDesign.

- Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG) 2005 and Pass4Press v7 compliancy.

- Automatic notification when new versions are available.

- Common sizing when building a job for multiple destinations.

- Multi-paged PDFs can be split when sending.

Configuration changes

- QuickPrint 5.1 can be configured to make some fields mandatory.

- QuickPrint 5.1 can be configured with lists of options for all input fields.

User interface changes

- New Naming tab on Preferences window.

- New tools on Job WIndow toolbar: Ink weight measurement tool, Separation preview tool.

- Ability to open a Job Ticket via the File Menu

- Job Window shows which Check Settings were used to validate the PDF.

- QuickPrint 5 shows the names of the images contained in a PDF.

Check Settings changes

- Keyword search in Check Settings editor.

- Ability to delete Custom Check Settings.

-The Unequal Page Sizes check detects orientation as well as size.

- Several Check Settings have been changed to support Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG) 2005 and Pass4Press v7 standards.

- New check for light colours set to overprint.
