How do I install QuickPrint on an OS 9 computer?
Step 1
Download the QuickPrint installer for OS9.2.2. Click
here to go to the Downloads page. It should decompress automatically
but if not please double click the icon in your download location
to decompress.
Step 2
Double click on the installer icon.
Step 3
The installer will Authenticate. You will then see a dialogue box
with the word Continue. Click on Continue.
Step 4
A window containing the Licence Agreement will appear. It is important
that you read and understand the terms and conditions of use of the
QuickPrint software. After doing so click on Accept.
Step 5
You will see a window prompting you to select the items to install.
A new installation will require the QuickPrint application. Then
you will need to choose one or more Xtensions, plugins or Xtras depending
on your source applcations.
The default location for the QuickPrint installaiton will be HardDrive > Applications > Quickcut. You
will also be prompted to quit any other open applications at this
point.
Step 6
The installer will search for other QuickPrint applications on that
computer. If you have more than one it will ask you which one you
want to upgrade. We do not recommend keeping more than one version
of QuickPrint on a computer.
Choose the QuickPrint you want upgraded - usually found in the Applications > QuickPrint folder
and click on Continue. All other versions will be moved to the Trash.
The installer will upgrade QuickPrint. You will see a dialogue box
alerting you to create a new QuickPrint.db file. It is vital that
you create a new database file if you have upgraded or installed
QuickPrint.
